עדי דואק, אמא לשלושה מתל אביב, חוותה במהלך משבר הקורונה תהליך של חידוש עצמי שהוביל אותה לעולם האמנות. בתקופה זו המציאה את עולמה מחדש והחלה ליצור בעבודה עם אפוקסי {שרף}, חומר המאפשר חקירה מעמיקה של גבולות החומר, האור, הצבע והצורה. עבודותיה מבקשות ללכוד רגעים חולפים, לשמר תנועה וליצור נוכחות פיזית תוך שמירה על תחושת קלילות ושקיפות נדמית. פרקטיקת היצירה שלה נשענת על שילוב מדויק של יציקות, שכבות וצבעוניות מוקפדת, היוצרים דיאלוג מתמשך בין האסתטיקה לבין מורכבות רגשית וחומרית. דואק שואבת השראה מעולמות היומיום, מחוויות אישיות וזיכרונות, ומהתרבות החזותית, ומטמיעה בעבודותיה חקירה של האופן שבו החומר נושא מטען אנושי. האפוקסי אינו רק מדיום פיזי אלא כלי המאפשר חקירה של עוצמות, עדינות, נוכחות ומסתורין, ומזמין את הצופה להתבונן ולהשתתף במרחב חושי ואינטלקטואלי בו, זמנית. במסגרת עבודותיה, החומר הופך למדיום המגשר בין עולמה הפרטי של האמנית לבין החוויה הקולקטיבית של הצופה, ובין הזמן הנמדד למרחב הנצפה. כל יצירה מהווה חקירה של יחסי כוחות בין חומר וצורה, בין נוכחות וקלילות, בין זיכרון ומיידיות, ומציעה התבוננות מעמיקה במפגש שבין אסתטיקה, חומר וחוויה אנושית. דרך עבודתה, דואק ממחישה את הפוטנציאל של האמנות ללכוד את המורכבות האנושית, תוך חיבור בין עולמות של סדר, מדידה והיגיון לבין עולמות של תחושה, צבע ואור. adi Adi Doak | Married to Gil and mother of three children from Tel Aviv, Adi Doak began a process of self, renewal during the COVID19 pandemic that led her to work with epoxy resin, a material that allows for an in, depth exploration of the boundaries of light, color, and form. Her works aim to capture fleeting moments, preserve movement, and create a physical presence while maintaining a sense of lightness and apparent transparency. A prominent feature of her work is the eye motif, serving as a symbol of observation, awareness, and protection, “Reserved without the Evil Eye.” This motif establishes a dialogue between the material and the viewer, marking the intersection between the artist’s personal world and the collective experience, while exploring the relationships between material and form, memory and immediacy, presence and lightness. Doak draws inspiration from everyday experiences, nostalgia, personal memories, and visual culture. Epoxy functions not merely as a physical medium but as a tool for exploring presence, delicacy, and mystery, inviting the viewer to engage in active observation and participate in a sensory and intellectual space. Her works demonstrate the potential of art to capture human complexity, connecting realms of order, measurement, and logic with domains of perception, sensation, color, and light.
