Hamodi Almahdi (born 1995), is a self-taught illustrator and artist known for his naive and colorful style.
His digital illustrations depict scenes from his everyday natural surroundings: a secular Arab Tel Avivian in a relationship, living with two dogs.
Muscular, robust figures are illustrated within dense, wild vegetation, using a warm brown-orange palette.
In recent years, Hamoudi has expanded his work into public space murals, incorporating more vibrant tones into his palette.
“
Like his illustrations, his murals reflect everyday life while also expressing contrasts—between village and city, past and future, local and global.
