My body is a significant partner in the creative process. It appears in my works as an actor, an image, or a unit of measurement. As a raw material, it is available, flexible, passive, and inexpensive — and my ownership of it allows me freedom of action. I am developing a unique drawing language using clay, applied with a spatula. The drawing is created in motion, standing, by activating the entire body against the wall. In my work, I seek to return the body to the center of visual experience and to initiate a dialogue between material, movement, and presence.
