Hamodi Almahdi

Hamodi Almahdi (born 1995), is a self-taught illustrator and artist known for his naive and colorful style. His digital illustrations depict scenes from his everyday natural surroundings: a secular Arab Tel Avivian in a relationship, living with two dogs. Muscular, robust figures are illustrated within dense, wild vegetation, using a warm brown-orange palette. In recent years, Hamoudi has expanded his work into public space murals, incorporating more vibrant tones into his palette.

Like his illustrations, his murals reflect everyday life while also expressing contrasts—between village and city, past and future, local and global.
